RAM Maintenance Schedule: Miles and Months

The RAM maintenance schedule we have here represents the basic RAM service interval. But we also recommend coming in for RAM service before taking a long road trip, regardless of your RAM maintenance schedule to make sure everything is working properly to prevent breakdowns in and around Bellevue.

One thing to understand about the RAM service intervals is that we will suggest parts replacements if our team sees enough wear and tear on some components. We’ll let you know if there is a repair you should handle right away or in the coming months.

RAM Service Every 8,000 Miles or 6 Months

• Change the engine oil and engine oil filter
• Rotate the tires.
• Inspect the exhaust, battery terminals, brake pads, and door latches

RAM Service Every 16,000 Miles or 12 Months

• Change the engine oil and engine oil filter.
• Rotate the tires.
• If using your vehicle for either dusty or off-road conditions, inspect the engine air cleaner filter; replace it if necessary.
• Replace the air conditioning filter (if equipped).
• Inspect the brake linings and replace them if necessary.
• Inspect the exhaust system.
• Inspect the front suspension, tie rod ends, and boot seals for cracks or leaks and all parts for damage, wear, improper looseness, or end play; replace if necessary.

RAM Service Every 24,000 Miles or 18 Months

• Change the engine oil and engine oil filter.
• Rotate the tires.
• Inspect the CV joints.
• Inspect the exhaust system.

RAM Service Intervals Every 32,000 Miles or 24 Month

• Everything from the 16,000-mile maintenance.
• Inspect the front suspension, tie rod ends, and boot seals for cracks or leaks and all parts for damage, wear, improper looseness, or end play. We’ll replace anything, if necessary.
• Replace the spark plugs (2.4L engine).

RAM Service Intervals Every 40,000 Miles or 30 Months

• Change the engine oil and engine oil filter.
• Rotate the tires.

RAM Service Intervals Every 48,000 Miles or 36 Months

• Everything from the 16,000-mile maintenance.
• Inspect the front suspension, tie rod ends, and boot seals, for cracks or leaks and all parts for damage, wear, improper looseness, or end play; replace if necessary.

By this time, your brakes and tires might need to be replaced.

RAM Service Every 64,000 Miles or 48 Months

• Everything from the 32,000-mile maintenance
• Change the automatic transmission fluid and filter if using your vehicle for any of the following: police, taxi, fleet, or frequent trailer towing.

RAM Service Every 72,000 Miles or 54 Months

• Change the engine oil and engine oil filter.
• Rotate the tires.
• Inspect the CV joints.
• Replace the air conditioning filter (if equipped).
• Inspect the brake linings; replace them if necessary.
• Inspect the CV joints.
• Inspect the exhaust system.

RAM Maintenance Schedule Every 80,000 Miles or 60 Months

• Change the engine oil and engine oil filter.
• Rotate the tires.
• If using your vehicle for either dusty or off-road conditions, inspect the engine air cleaner filter; replace if necessary.
• Replace the air conditioning filter (if equipped).
• Inspect the brake linings; replace them if necessary.
• Inspect the front suspension, tie rod ends, and boot seals for cracks or leaks and all parts for damage, wear, improper looseness, or end play; replace if necessary.
• Flush and replace the engine coolant if not done

RAM Maintenance Schedule Every 96,000 Miles or 72 Months

• Everything from the 32,000-mile mark.
• Replace the spark plugs (2.4L engine).
• Replace the spark plugs (3.6L engine).
• Inspect and replace PCV Valve if necessary.

RAM Maintenance Schedule Every 104,000 Miles or 78 Months

• Change the engine oil and engine oil filter.
• Rotate the tires.
• Flush and replace the engine coolant if not done at 60 months.

RAM Maintenance Schedule Every 120,000 and 150,000 Miles

It’s important to inspect the transfer fluid case for 4WD or AWD powertrains. By 150,000 miles, you should have the transfer case fluid replaced. You should also get new coolant, regardless of the condition of the radiator because your engine is getting older.
